PhotoJournal: FALL

Just a few fall photos to put you in the spirit that I shot in Central Park last week. It is sooo chilly here again!! But central park is always a nice place. Even when it feels like your toes might fall off. If you will be paying the park a visit soon, I highly recommend bringing Yann Tiersen along.

Photojournal: Brooklyn and the Bridge

It was a frigid cold week in NY. But my little sis was in town and that didn't stop us from bundling up and heading to Brooklyn. I've been wanting to do a walk across the bridge ever since I moved here...but was waiting for Lynnae's visit. :) It's beautiful. If you are ever in NY even for a little bit, then this is an absolute must! Sure, it's touristy...but it's worth it! The best views of the city are arguably from Brooklyn!! Plus, there's a great pizza place waiting for you on the other side! (Frank Sinatra's favorite place :). Enjoy!

all the best views are from Brooklyn!
the famous pizza under the brooklyn bridge! well worth the wait in line :)

My remaining India pictures or the "Final Chapter" has finally made it to facebook. Here it is, if you are interested! This includes our days in Varanasi (which you can also see below), and our beautiful time in Agra at the Taj Mahal and Red Fort. Below are my 4 favorite photos from this sequence :).

That's a wrap on India '09 photos! (and blog posts and lamenting about how I want to go back :)...for now that is). If you have read this blog from the beginning, then thanks for sticking with me! It has been an incredible journey, words cannot even describe. If nothing else, I hope it has inspired you to embark on a journey of your own someday. You will never regret it. Dom and Gared: I don't know if you read this blog, but you two were seriously the best travel companions! I would do it all over again with you two, and I wouldn't change a thing!! Thanks for your patience with me, for your humor and kindness, community, and love. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

Social Media

I've been enjoying this video that's been around the blog world lately. I am both scared by it and thrilled by it. This is why I love social media. :)

Puja in Varanasi

Here's a 40 second clip of a puja that we watched on the banks of the Ganges (or Ganga) in Varanasi.

I left my heart in India.

Also...this is incredibly random to include in the same post (maybe a bit too random actually). But what the heck... while I am waiting for this video to upload, I will share with you the 3 films of the fall so far that I cannot WAIT to see.

Where the Wild Things Are

I am finally putting up the entirety of my India pictures on facebook for everyone to see if you are interested! I have had major computer issues these past months (for someone obsessed with taking pictures and in grad school...this equals death!). I know I have blogged about India lots already. But if you are interested at all in seeing a complete look at my summer experience, you can find the pictures from our time in Calcutta here and our time in Mumbai and Pune here. I am still working on completing the pictures of Varanasi and the stunning Taj Mahal...but will update when those are posted...hopefully soon.

Here's a photo from Pune and one from Calcutta. Enjoy!
