A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to travel to Jeju Island, a volcanic island off the southern coast of South Korea, with my friend Sarah. It was a short trip (only 3 days!), but the perfect getaway after an intense two months of teaching and six weeks of being miserably sick! We packed every day to its limit, hiking in forests, resting by waterfalls, and even visiting a green tea farm. Above are a few pictures. I'm working on a much longer post coming soon with many more photos and details!

It's been a loooong week... here are a few links that brought inspiration to my days, when it was much needed:
Brian's portfolio update (including pictures from the Starbucks shoot! So inspiring)
Dr. Katz! The video with Ray Romano made me laugh out loud!
Natalie Norton's new post on the Making Things Happen blog. I needed to hear her words of advice this week!!

Have a good weekend!

Hellooooo!!!!

It's been a while since my last post...a while.

These past 3 months I...

--moved to Seoul, South Korea.
--started teaching English to elementary school children at a private academy in the city.
--lived without reliable internet in my apartment until today! (hence the absence of updates or pictures on the blog).
--got incredibly sick with a pnemonia- like sickness for over a month between June--July.
--adventured all over the city of Seoul and surrounding areas.
--turned 24. Almost halfway through my twenties!
--traveled to JeJu Island (pictures to come!)

Quite honestly, it's all been an incredible, life-changing experience so far. Living abroad definitely has it's challenges sometimes (as does teaching!), and I've had my low points here, and quite possibly wouldn't have made it through this far without the support of incredible friends, family, and boyfriend :). Also... I want to give a special shout-out to my friend Sarah, who's teaching here with me, and who basically nursed me back to health while I was sick, and threw me a birthday dinner after only a few weeks of living in Seoul!

Above are some of my pictures/photography of my adventures in Korea these past few months. Seoul is a beautiful, vibrant city and there is so much to see and do! Yes, there is even a Hello Kitty cafe, where they make Hello Kitty lattes and hot chocolates... a little kid's dream!

More to come...
